Getting Here: If you’re coming from Arenal, Monteverde, or San Jose you can take the national route # 164: Bagaces to Guayabo (Volcán Miravalles) and then to San Jorge (where Rinconcito Lodge is located). You can enjoy the astonishing views of Miravalles Volcano and the Guanacastecan savannas while driving through this road.
NEW! There is a new road that goes all the way to Las Pailas area from Rinconcito Lodge. It is only 20 minutes away and it opens up new places to visit: the boiling mud pots, fumaroles, the trail heading to the crater… There is shuttle service available to and from Rinconcito Lodge.
TOURS: We offer horseback riding tours within Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Come and be delighted by lush forests, our own trail connects to other trails that go to both Las Pailas area and Santa Maria area. Don’t miss the chance to visit all main attractions in a one-day tour!
Rinconcito Lodge also offers you the advantage of being located not far from other natural attractions, such as Palo Verde National Park (1,5 hrs by car) or Santa Rosa National Park (90 minutes away from the lodge). There are tour guides available for those (and other) destinations.
